Car accident and healthy living

Monday, January 09, 2017

Hey everyone! Hope you are well. About two weeks ago, my mom and I were in a car accident. Everyone is okay, though mom and I were a bit sore and going through whiplash. I have to wait until some neck pain subsides before getting back to the gym. The good news is I have had a successful week with healthy eating. The goal is to make sure you are including healthy things you like. I have been doing well with using the food tracker. It's such a helpful tool! It took me a long time to find motivation, but the direction I was headed in is not somewhere I want to be. I want to avoid diabetes and heart disease, feel more confident, have more clothing options, still fit in booths, still be able to use a seatbelt without an extender, not get lectured by doctors, and be perfectly fine with being photographed. Now, I am finally headed in the right direction. It's going to be challenging and exciting. Hope you are doing well with your goals! :)

I also had an accident that has put me far behind on my workouts, and I am finally able to walk the treadmill without pain! I think you are really smart by tracking your food. I made the mistake of going for comfort foods and gaining a bunch of weight. Be patient with yourself and keep the positive attitude!
