A new approach

It seems I only do updates when I am getting back on track. After a month of non-stop sugar, I'm ready to admit that I am an addict. I can't have just a little. I can't walk through the kitchen when sweets are around without snitching a little. So my goal is to overcome that addiction. I believe I will have fewer headaches, will have healthier skin, will have fewer blues, and if along the way, I lose weight that will just be a serendipity. So each day that I am successful in keeping my Bright Lines, that will a good day, whether I have lost a pound or not.

I am using Susan Peirce Thompson's Bright Line Eating Plan, and I am really enjoying her emails, website, and Vlogs. She bases her plan on the latest in neuroscience, and so far everything she says makes so much sense, even as she disagrees with so much of the traditional weight loss philosophies.

I plan to stick to the 4 BL guidelines -- NO Sugar, No Flour, Eat 3 meals a day, Measure your quantities.

2 days of success down, a lifetime to go.
