Bad Drivers Everywhere

Thursday, November 03, 2016

Had to make a quick run to the pharmacy then to the grocery store this morning. In such a short amount of time and distance, I must have run into at least a dozen horrible drivers. LOL Well not literally run into, but observed.

Several observations:

5 people texting and driving
2 people passing others using the center turning lane - for real?
3 people going 20 mph over in School Zone
2 people not wearing seat-belts with kids bouncing around in their back seats.

So many aggressive drivers out there. If someone appears in a hurry, I move out of their way. I'm not in a hurry. I'm retired. Even with a sick boy at home, I wasn't in a crazy hurry. But after watching all these crazies, I will say this...

1) If you're in a hurry, do not hug someone's tail, throwing your hands up every few seconds and mouthing obscenities in hopes that they'll move out of your way. Not everyone is as nice and understanding as me. :)

2) If someone IS behind you doing this, 9 out of 10 people will make it a point to NOT move out of your way. And, in some cases, will even make it a point to go much much slower. ( I tell my neighbor this ALL the time)

3) After watching both 1 & 2 occur, I watched the rushed-vehicle swerve into new lane just to see the next person jam on their breaks for no reason. Which means that person was attempting to cause an accident! Why people???

Next time I need to run early morning errands, I'm doing it before 6am!

It's a mess out there and getting worse all the time. The answer to this is law enforcement. Where are they?

I agree with what your saying. Drivers get worse and worse every year, no month, no day and we wonder why kids drive the way they do. They live by example. What does that say for us over 30?
