If you think your problem is night time eating, you may want to think again.

Good morning Spark friends. emoticon

I receive motivational emails from a site that is worth sharing. It is called Kimbenson.com
Today was very interesting and thought it may be helpful to me and maybe some of you. emoticon Of course, Spark always has great motivation articles that I love too. emoticon

Guess what?....It's the hours before dinner, when the problem begins...... emoticon
Listed are some suggestions by KimBenson.com that may be tried. I am going to try this and
see if it works for me.....

" 3-4 p..m. is when the hunger actually starts....try-----this----
100 calorie bag of popcorn, an apple and a glass of water.....(Magic Bullet)....
whiten your teeth after dinner
close the kitchen + STAY OUT
Go to bed with a good book, (not watching netflix)"

Maybe this will work and maybe not. It is worth a try. I enjoy eating healthy and planning my meals. Usually they are very good and filling. However, snacking at night can be a Bad Habit for me. )-: Thanks for reading my blog. Actually this advice is from Kim. If it helps any of us, that is great. Maybe you have better ways to be strong with this, or maybe you have heard this
before.....anyway, let me know what you think....This journey we are on is for a lifestyle that I want to keep. Maintenance will be a challenge for me, but am working on anything new I can find to stay focused, when the time arrives. One day at at time, tracking meals, tracking exercise, and planning ahead is my way to stay motivated. Is there any key to staying focused for you? Please share if you would like. emoticon

Happy Fall and All the best in your journey. emoticon We can do it!! God bless!
hugs and best wishes to all of you,
Irish Ei

    Hi Ei!
I know about Kim Benson and have for years! She's an inspirational! Read her book etc. She has good recipes and advice! I think the suggestions are good...whatever it takes and works for you! Brushing your teeth after dinner, having heral tea in your favorite mug or tea cup, working on plans for the next day! I do crossword puzzles! I know a lot of people knit, needle point, sew etc. I do watch Netflix but rarely eat...I will have a beverage and it feels like a treat (like diet root beer for example)! If not eating after dinner works it's great but I do think some people feel truly deprived...and I would advise them to build in an eve snack that's healthy and satisfying! A yogurt, veggies and a healthy dip, fruit, or even a bowl of low cal soup like the WW cabbage! It should be ready and waiting for what time you need it (8:00pm?)!
Thanks so much for the information...I am going to sign up for her newsletter again!
Hope your weekend is going well!

For me it is beingbtruly honest about what I am doing and how I am feeling. Starting off my day with spark is so helpful. I also track everything. Finally rather than watch tv and eat food I do something else. Need to change one action for another.
