Throwback Thursday Halloween Edition
Thursday, October 20, 2016
This again is just my instagram post, not a proper blog.... and here are the photos separated so that they are larger.
This #TBT tells quite the story... the first picture is fro 2010 around my highest weight of 272! At that weight I was honestly miserable. I loved Halloween and I had always wanted to attend the Halloween themed events at Knott's & Universal, but I knew that I simply couldn't handle all the walking and standing. The 7 steps up to my bedroom seemed like Mount Everest, which left me huffing and puffing needing to rest. I knew 7-8 hours on my feet at an amusement park would literally kill me, even though I desperately wanted to go. In March of 2012 I started yet another weight loss journey, and by October I was down in the 220's. That was the first time I went to Universal Halloween Horror Nights and I realized I had been missing out all those years. Since then I have gone every year to Universal and most of those years to Knott's. The middle photo is October 2014 around my lowest adult weight of 185. I was happy, healthy and felt skinny despite the fact I was absolutely not skinny! But I had come so far I really felt like a million bucks. Did I want to lose 20 or 30 more? Sure, but I was very happy in my body and had all the energy to do all the things I wanted to do. The 3rd picture is from this year around a weight of 222. While I am super bummed out about the weight I have gained back, I am glad that I am still able to go out and do all the things I want to do. I am still miles away from the 1st photo and don't ever intend to go back there, and I am going full steam ahead to the middle photo, and beyond! #throwbackthursday
