7. Recycle. Don’t fix what’s not broken. Reuse what’s worked before. Make a list of the
things that have worked before and how can you implement them in your current situation. this is an eye opener...I know that recording what I eat helps me out so I need to keep this up. Even if my cardio exercise is on hold(for now) I can eat less...Lord give me strength.
6. Action deflates fear – ALWAYS. What are a couple of areas that you fear and how can you take the power out of
them? some will laugh but it does not matter to me...I am not the kind to try new foods. Today I tried new kind of squash. I find squash sort of bitter and I usually do not eat bitter foods. The squash was not so bad. So in a few days I will reintroduce turnips. Pray for me. ROFL. I am determined to keep trying new foods that way I can keep things fresh. Some may say this is small but to me it is not.
8. Trust your intuition . Resist second-guessing. Don’t let your stomach make bad choices…resist the lure. oh my do need more practice with this. chips are mostly my weakness. Can I life without them? of course. so the next time I am attempted I should ask myself will they help me with my weight loss goals? How will they make me feel healthy wise after I have them? In the past I have ignored the call of chips and the desires passed me by. lesson is I do not have to have them. Next the voice of temptation comes I will ask how will the food benefit me?
3. Learn to say no as much as you say yes. Less is more. Replace “Could I do more?” with “Would I like to do more?”
Ask yourself this question and follow through. well it has a been a long lesson on saying no. In the past I was afraid of how folks would say if I said no to church functions and other matters. Now I can say no without guilt. I am the mom of a special needs teenager. I had to learn to say no for health sake. I need to keep my mind renewed thur the scriptures and my body well thur rest and learning to eat foods that feed my body and not my emotions. my mental health will improve if the follow thur. No can be a powerful word and I use it quite often.
