Trying again

Sunday, September 18, 2016

Hi, trying out blogging from the phone. Hate typing here. Started back with spark people for my son since I've pretty well made my goal - I could lose 10 lbs, but not worried about that. My 8 year old son is 101 lbs and concerned about thyroid issues. With consuming 900 to 1500 calories most days, he's gaining 4 lbs a month - 30 lbs since Dec. He burns 200 to 800 calories in exercise per day. Today has been rough with his attitude. Stubborn, aggressive, and hyper. He's upset about his weight and and trying everything but not losing. I hate that he's going through this. He does look like he weighs what he does though.

He was teased by some kids recently, but I'm trying to tell him not to let it bother him. But he has personally noticed that he can't do things hr did a few months ago as easily or he gets out of breath, so it's made him think about it too.

Kids don't have a negative view on weight, unless it's the main focus in the home. Just love your son, and ask his doctor for tips. By the way, he is super adorable
