Trying to fix one problem after the other... At work there are cookies galore and lots of cakie types of things, then chips and pretzels= none of these things help with weight loss... but they call me, even though I have stopped having sugar cravings. I have stopped eating most sugar items and have gone back and added 1-2 slices a bread a day and increased my whole grains... and cravings still gone..
You don't know how wonderful it is to walk into a grocery store and the sugar items do not call any more than any other item in the grocery store. I can look at them and not feel like I need to eat something sugary. I am grateful every time I look at them and dont' feel a craving.
That said when stress increases, I do think of my old eating habits- but I am seeing movement on the scale for the first time in ages, so I am committed to make this healthy eating pattern continue. So I took my pumpkin backup-
1 can of pumpkin,
add one vanilla jello pudding (just dump in)
one sugar free/fat free cool whip-
spice like a pumpkin pie...
there is so much fiber in the pumpkin you can't eat but so much- fills you up and gives you a bit of sweetness without kicking my sugar cravings. Took it and put it next to my computer as I started to do some stressful work.... and... here we go... it is awesome. filled up and stayed on diet... it was awesome..
