Despite a brief hiatus due to arch pain, this month was definitely a success. I have lost 5.5 pounds, one inch from my waist, one inch from my hips, 3/4 of an inch from my arms and thighs. My jogging intervals have increased to two minutes with two minutes of recovery walking in between. I have more energy and my clothes are fitting better. Making these changes are not really difficult to make, they just take planning and prioritizing. My husband and I meal plan on the weekends and avoid buying junky, snacky foods. So if we want to snack on something, all we have in the house is fruit or veggies with hummus. He's even decided that he likes spaghetti squash better than regular pasta. We still allow ourselves little treat now and then, because it is all about moderation not deprivation. Although I find that I don't usually want desserts or chips and when I eat them I only have a little because they taste overly sweet or salty compared to what I am now used eating. I'm not sure that anyone else can see the small changes that I've made so far, but I can definitely tell. Before photo compared to one month of healthy living.
