An update 7/24

Sunday, July 24, 2016

Well I do want to apologize for not logging in every day. I just been busy with the kids and hubby that I just use the spark app. to log my foods. My hubby ask why am I not using the laptop, I am like I just want to spend time with the kids before they go back to school as summer is almost over for them. With us being so hot here over 100 we been spending every single day in the pool. We even take walks late in the evening when it a little cooler. Plus I don't want my asthma to start acting up either. So far I been keeping it under control.
I am doing okay with the WW new points program finally figuring them out and I am down to 251 again from 256. I started on june 27th. So I am proud of myself. It a long road trying to lose this weight, I sometimes tell myself I will never get back to 184. Hubby tells me I will it just takes time. I now look at it this way I just want to be healthy not skinny. I am done with yoyo diets and beating myself up when I don;t see the numbers I like. I am changiing my lifestyle to be more healthy. Even me and hubby are doing better now as we don't fight much and yes we been working on us too. For a while things wasn't looking good for us. Even we came a long way too. Can't believe we be married for 16 years coming Aug 5th. Now only if I can get him to get his diabetes under control that be great too, Cause his numbers are all over the place and his A1C are high. But only he can do that. Well The kids are waking up so I better get off so I can see what they all want for breakfast. I just wanted to stop by and say I am still here lol.

Woubbie, I am trying to but you know men they hard headed lol. He Italian and loves his pasta and fried foods and breads. I do seek time from time when I make chicken parm I will baked it instead of frying lol. He also hates veggies and whole wheat. I been trying to get him to change his eating habits. My kids eat more healthy then he does. they trend to follow after me as they love wheat and veggies and fish.

Hang in there. Change is hard, and learning to make healthy living a daily routine takes time. As for your DH - babysteps! Can you help him learn one new habit every so often? Like substituting one bad food or beverage for a better choice?

A lot of times I forget that when I gain muscle, I initially gain a little weight. So don't worry about the number so much. It's not that important. It's a just a tool. Your idea to get healthy, not skinny, is right on!
