Panda goes to the Beach

It has been a couple weeks since I have blog/vlog'd. And to be honest I was lazy all last week. But the week before I was making it to the gym, and also to a workout group with my church ladies. I also had a great beach day.
I love the beach!
I always have. It's just that over the years I found myself avoiding the beach due to my weight. It was hard for me to be so obsessed with the bulk of my body and sit on a beach with all the beautiful San Diego women.
But, I have been trying to love my body no matter how it looks in the mirror lately.
So, I put the super cute bathing suit that I bought last year on. Now, last year around this time I was looking a little more svelte. But again, I am not going to let my reflection deter me. The suit still fit, even if there was a bit more tummy and back fat. Once there I set up my beach chair, but I did not sit for long. I got out there in the surf and played with my kids.
And it was a WORKOUT!
I forgot what a great workout you could get from Mother Ocean. Walking in the sand, jumping over waves, trying to catch a wave to body surf, and just fighting the waves as they try to push you down the beach.
And I am not mentioning anything about the great natural callus scrub you get.
Now, I am still a gym rat. I love my instructors and classes at the gym. But, I think that I am going to make sure to spend more time doing the Mother Ocean Workout.
