Weekends are the worst

Monday, June 06, 2016

Weekends are the worst, especally when you have an excuse to eat out of control. I was riding a Kung Fu Panda high. I was down four pounds, controlling what I ate and not indulging in soda. But, then June 1st happened...

I must confess it threw me for a loop. I wont go into the whole story again. I already blogged about it, and if you are interested you can find it under the blog for June 2nd entitled Is Justice really that blind. But, I am going to say that it left a crust on my heart. I contacted an Attorney who said there was nothing we could do... That if this went to court that he could represent me. But, as for my daughters and their attacker. Well, if the Officer had brushed their assault under the rug, then there was nothing we could do legally because I did not have any of this women's information.

As a mom...it is hard to hear you can not protect you kids from the bad guys, and that the law is not always interested in justice.

It was just the start to a shaky weekend. I always struggle on the weekends, and this weekend I had every reason to give into the craving for the comfort of soda. I indulged at least four times in soda. And I had double helpings when I ate. I snacked on cookies, and chocolate.

I really wallowed in the excuse to eat for self pities sake.

Damage done... another weekend I have to mark unsuccessful. Hit the gym hard today, and got back to eating like Warrior. Not a weak little fluff with no control.
