We all know what we should be doing to take care of ourselves, but so many of us don't. Let's face it- it's easier to stay fat. It's a fact. It's also harder: harder to do anything physical, to find clothes that fit right, to feel good about ourselves. I'm a procrastinator by nature, so I've struggled for years to get on track. Honestly, it's easier to grab food at the drive-thru than it is to plan, shop for, and cook meals. I enjoy sedentary hobbies line crocheting and reading. I could do either one of them for HOURS. But something has finally clicked. I'm listening more often to the little voice in the back of my head that whispers, "A salad sounds better than fries. And you'll feel better if you go for a walk". Oh- it's been there all this time, but I've ignored it for the most part. FINALLY, I'm listening to the voice of reason. I WANT to eat healthier. I WANT to be physically active. I know I need to be patient- 85 lbs. isn't going away over night. But for the first time, I'm starting to feel like I CAN do this!
