A one mile race, a half marathon and a 100 pound dumbbell-whodathunki

On 7/31/15, I ran the GNC Liberty Mile Race-11 minutes 5 seconds--me, who once thought exercising outside would not be part of my fitness(My hair! Bugs! What if it rains? Humidity? Wild animals??)-I was surprised and pleased how accomplished I felt-and thanked God that I was able to do it!
Weightlifting? Well I have been increasing my weights safely-the last blog I groaned and whined and complained that Emilee(the infamous no taking crap personal trainer at the Y that I've blogged about before) -now I am up to 85, 90, 95 for plie squats! However being the insane person that I am-I have managed to do 3 sets of 3 reps with a 100lb dumbbell-me with my carpal tunnel afflicted wrists!!! And yesterday for my leg day I did 4 sets of 5 reps--me!!
And then on May 1st-I finally did it-I completed the Pittsburgh Half Marathon!! I ran, jogged, walked, jogged, ran, walked, and ran the last mile-but I completed it at 3:38:11!!!
I never thought I'd be doing these things--I am grateful to God for keeping me during this journey and am looking forward to what else I am capable of! :)
