Onward to Scotland!

Saturday I finished the GR20 trail in Corsica on my virtual walk. It was quite the hike. Funny, I got sucked in by the quaint old church they showed in one of the photos and thought it'd be this hike through the old European countryside. Ha! It was a rugged, rocky hike along the ridgeline, where the hikers actually stopped photo journaling the hike because of hurricane force winds and freezing temps on the ridge! Luckily they made it to a descending point where the winds subsided a bit and then took shelter.
I've seen lizards, cows, goats, wild pigs, donkeys, and horses without riders; breathtaking scenery and sunsets; and loved the refuges (shelter buildings along the trail), especially those that served up a hot meal! I certainly know this, you must be in great shape to even consider this hike! It certainly is difficult!
Here are this sites from my last couple days of hiking.
Notre Dame des Nieges. I have the feeling that praying is required to complete this trail!
Yes, it's rugged!
and thought provoking!
Notice how the clouds are only on one side of the ridge!
more chains... what goes up, must come down
flowers in the rocks!
Now onward to beautiful Scotland! Here we go! Central Station! What a change, huh?
