I Am Back! Again! Lol

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Hello all! Well it's been about 9 months since I was on last. I have had a lot going on! That has nothing to do with not being on here, just saying in general. I had surgery in Feb to have my gallbladder removed & wow. It was rough. I still have soreness and pain sometimes from the surgery. I started exercising last Monday and felt this horrible pain under my right breast. I didn't even connect it to my surgery, but it continued when I exercised the next day, & actually got worse. So I called my surgeon's nurse and she said it was normal. She said as long as there is no fever, swelling or redness, then it's normal. Well they don't tell you any of this when you have the surgery. Well MY surgeon didn't anyway. Basically I learned from another doctor that it can take up to six months to completely heal from this surgery! I had no clue. It was a relief though to know it was normal. So now I can't do the exercises I was doing because told me to take it easy. The only thing I can do now is walk. I also still get soreness around my belly button and in my stomach. It will all be better in time though. :)

In other news, last time I was on here my last weigh in had me at 229 lbs. Since then, I had regained weight, then lost a little, lather, rinse, repeat. My new start weight was 229.6. I had my first weigh in last week and had lost 7.2 lbs! So I am now 222.4. I will be doing my next weigh in this Saturday on the 14th. :)

My way of eating is low(er) carb. Basically just cutting out crap. Lol. All processed foods, sugar, etc. I still have fruit, low carb wraps, sweet potatoes, etc. So I haven't cut out all carbs like I did back in 2013. I lost a lot of hair when I did that so I'm not doing that again. It's still a low carb way of eating though and I feel better when I eat this way. :)

Anywho, that's my update. I'll be checking in often now!

Glad all is well and you are back on track! For sure, give you body time to heel, that is a big surgery. Keep up the walking, that is good enough for now, maybe a little free weights for upper body. Good enough!! Be kind to yourself!

    Joye :)

    Welcome back!

Surgery can be really rough, and recovery time a lot longer than people expect. I am glad you are feeling past it now.
