Well I finished my virtual walk of the Florida Keys trail while I was off on vacation in Minnesota. I was pleased that I managed to hit all my step goals even with some long drive days. I was grateful that the person with me also has a step goal, so we tried to keep each other on track and snuck in some steps between workshops, etc. I was also pleased to see that Mr Scale didn't take a huge upward climb. I even used the phone ap to log in daily - so my streak continues! I even had one 20,000 step day! WooHoo!
I heard lots of motivational and encouraging stuff this weekend. Some of it I can apply to my journey here!
The weekend ended with a visit to Target Field and the Minnesota Twins v Detroit Tigers baseball game. We totally lucked out to be sitting in the same row with some other Tiger fans. It was even sweeter when our team won. So another baseball stadium crossed off the list. Unfortunately most of those left are going to require some longer distance traveling and may have to wait for retirement!
I started a new virtual walk of the CR20 trail in Corsica. Little did I know it was more of a rock climbing trail than a walking/hike! On day 3 the section we should have taken was re-routed due to a rock slide that happened about a year ago killing 7 hikers. The photos are of steep climbs with chains mounted into the rocks to help you up those smooth rocks! There is no doubt in my mind, I don't have what it takes to ever tackle this trail! My arms get tired just looking at the photos, not to mention my stomach does flip flops when I look over the edges, or between the slats on those hanging, swinging bridges. Eeeks! Oh well, this one is only 118.1 miles. It is considered the most difficult CR trail in Europe! Guess not matter what trail I do next it will be a walk in the park compared to this one!
So here we go May! Let's dance!
