There are all very popular on spark chat these days. People think they will "jump start " their weight loss by doing one of these. The real fact is that ,while the weight on the scale will go down, it's not helpful in the long run. When you deprive you body of adequate nutrition, it does burn some of the fat stores in your body. But it also burns up some of your lean body tissue ( muscles). With less muscle, you burn less calories. So instead of a jump start, you've just given yourself a stumbling block. There are also health problems that can occur when people gain and lose the same pounds over and over ( and people who do these crash type diets usually go back to them periodically). My diet is "the rest of my life diet". No crash diets, losing and regaining the same weight over and over.
