2 Shakes + 1 Meal: Day 1

These do not qualify as blogs, but I am going to post the photo and the update I post on my Starchy Stephy Facebook page and I might add a little more to it as well. The thing I will add to this one is when I got on the scale I just about fainted! 229 was the wake up call I needed to turn this around. I plan to take a picture of the scale each day for 30 days and make a little animation/flip book of it. Let's hope the weight starts coming off.
Today is Day 1 of 2 Shakes + 1 Meal! The goal is a minimum of 30 days, but longer would be great. Not a lifelong plan by any means but a good jump start to getting some of this weight off. I have had a few ask what kind of shakes, they are just EAS brand from Target. When I finish with these I plan to switch to a Vegan protein powder and mix it with almond milk. While I am only vegetarian and not vegan at this point, the only nonvegan things I've been having is cheese and the hidden dairy you might find in processed foods (or this protein shake). So I do believe a vegan diet is in my future. My one meal for today was a salad, homemade fries and #Gardein meatless chicken strips! My favorite meal before becoming #vegetarian was chicken strips and fries, so I am super happy for this #meatless and oil free (fries) alternative! PS. For anyone wondering about protein on a meatless diet, I have read women typically need about 45g of protein per day, for this day in particular I'm at 54g. I typically don't have trouble meeting the minimum even without the protein shakes.
