One of "Those" People

Did you ever go to the gym and see someone, usually on a recumbent bike; with a book or a puzzle or even "work." pedaling away with varying degrees of purpose as they focused on the paper at hand? I must admit, that until yesterday I looked down my nose a little bit at them . One Sunday, I saw a woman checking what appeared to be high school English papers on an elliptical ... I was taken aback.
But, tonight I found myself in a similar situation. I taught til 3, tutored until 4, headed home at 4:45 got home at 5:45, checked on my son and his homework progress (topic of another blog) and looked at the clock and realized I had a decision to make. Bring my prep reading to the gym, or don't go. I had one and a half hours before I had to leave for another appointment, and I had promised myself to exercise 3x a week. It's already Thursday and I hadn't worked out, so I brought my school work, adjusted my workout and cycled for 50 minutes while prepping to be observed tomorrow.
This tells me a couple of things. First, I guess I have to be less judgemental, who am I to decide if someone is working out hard enough, or needs to take a break from work for themselves? Also, I guess this means I am taking my commitment to exercise seriously.
Didn't figure on seeing myself as "one of those people."
