Tired and hungry

Wednesday, March 09, 2016

I'm pretty sure I am not getting the right stuff to eat. I am extremely tired, almost lethargic. I can't seem to find a diet menu that works for me. I have some food allergies (mushrooms, shellfish, corn, nutrisweet, sucralose, stevia) and there are foods I won't eat because of how they taste (i.e.kale, spinach, pomegranate). I also drink 1% milk every day because when I take my meds I need to have something like milk or toast or I will get sick. I don't drink coffee and once in a while I will have tea (getting used to that without sugar is hard, but I am managing). I do drink at least 6 cups of water a day, and I've been looking at the nutrition thing every day to see where I might have been low, or high and trying to change my menu to suit that. I do not cook. I know how to, barely, but I hate to cook. My son tells people he learned how to cook out of necessity. LOL My mom was a lousy cook so I never really learned how to cook, except for omelets or waffles that I learned from my dad.

I am asking for help and I promise not to get angry at anyone who might be offering suggestions. I'll take all of them under consideration (except the whole cooking thing). Thanks so much!

Thank you for the ideas. I also have Fibromyalgia so have been attesting the tiredness to that but this is more than that. I think I need more protein and that's been harder to get.

Even cooking my own food, I found it impossible to meet the daily recommended nutritional values in all areas. I added a multivitamin, calcium, and magnesium, which has helped. You may also want to look at how much sugar you are taking in. I try to stay under 30 grams a day.

I also take a daily probiotic. I have an immune disorder and fibromyalgia, so I understand lethargy. These steps have helped me tremendously,
