New day, new way discovery for today....my unemployed state is a blessing for my journey to discover myself! So many great Sparkpeople pointed out in my New Day, New Way blog that although it is crushing to be thrown into the oblivion of being unemployed, it is also a blessing that gives me time to reflect and reinvent. I am using this wisdom to flip my brain from feeling rejected and depressed to feeling reflective, excited, and motivated. I am truly beginning to enjoy my time with myself. I was employed as an educator, and so I am currently doing some substitute teaching and tutoring to help with the family income. The beauty of this is that I can create my own schedule. So...it is all about planning for success and creating a schedule that works for my journey.
I have been getting out of bed each morning excited to spend my time on the recumbent bike while reading "The Spark" and listening to music that speaks to my soul. At the beginning of this week, I sat down and created a menu for the week and shopped. I was able to consider my subbing and tutoring schedule and plan accordingly. It is great to have the time to support my teenage daughter in her passions of theater and softball. Today, I filled out an application to be a volunteer CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Basically, I would be an advocate for victims of child abuse and neglect and help their voices be heard so that they can find safe and permanent homes.
The world is my oyster, and each new day, I will find a new way to shine!
