I've been sparked!!!!

Friday it was a warm and sunny day in Michigan. Something we haven't seen in a long time! It was crazy windy though, gale force winds off the lake. Anyhow, I had to leave work early to take my son to get his hearing aids, which meant I got home early! I loaded up dog and took him for a long walk before I dropped him off to the kennel. It felt so nice to be able to walk and not be wearing boots and winter gear!
Saturday I went to Toledo with a friend. We were going for a convention - but just for the day with plans to explore Toledo a little on Sunday and head home. We didn't book a hotel room and were playing it by ear. After doing some workshops, we broke away and wandered a bit in downtown Toledo. What fun. Lots of steps! Which was when I discovered I had left my fitbit home clipped on my workout shorts! I had gotten up early and walked a mile and a half on the treadmill before we left, not knowing if I would find time for a workout. Talk about feeling naked without my fitbit!
Anyhow, my friend had a fitbit flex on - we were virtually together most of the time - so I decided to just go with the steps on that fitbit plus 1,000 more for my mile at home (which I know was light). However, my own fitbit only registered about 5,000 steps! Oh well. Life happens.
After wandering Toledo and returning to the convention for a main speaker in the evening, we found that everything was running about an hour behind. We decided not to stay for the main speaker and head home. We both had things we wanted to do on Sunday, so it was great to be on the same page!
Which had me home Sunday morning to get the dog from the kennel and take another long walk! He was so tired when we got done, but it felt so good!
I am just loving this warmer weather and sunshine! I know it is still winter, and winter weather is forecast for this week, but it was such a spark to get moving!
Lastly, I got the email with the standings for the at work weight loss challenge last week. First place was someone who lost 2.5%. Second place was ME!!!!! at 1.78% How sweet is that! Talk about sparking the motivation!
Today, I sacrificed 15 minutes in bed for 15 minutes on the treadmill and I must admit, I feel sparked. Loving it!
