Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

I admit, I was feeling a little bummed last week that I only had a 3lb loss for the bi-weekly weigh in at the gym. But last night as I was getting ready for bed, I noticed something I haven't noticed in quite some time. Muscle definition in my arms. Yeeehaw!
I did say that the main reason for joining the challenge was to gain muscle. I didn't want weight loss to define me or my goal, yet here I was doing exactly that. It was such a slap back to reality that I'm more excited over seeing toned arms than I am about seeing a number on the scale!
I woke up this morning with such a better attitude. I also quickly remembered that after one month of dieting and working out routinely, I've completely lowered my blood pressure back to normal. I haven't had a bad reading in 3 weeks! That was yet another problem I couldn't seem to get a handle on, even with medication. So yay! Go me!
