I love my Ninja!

Saturday, February 13, 2016

My "Ninja" makes great smoothies---
When bananas are too ripe, I peel them--pop them into a baggie, then into the freezer--ready for a smoothie They don't need to be only used in banana bread---
As well, I buy Kale--bring it home--wash it--then cut the flowerettes up---bag them--and into the freezer they go ready for a drink-
Raspberries--pineapple--froz
en strawberries --broccoli ( (I really dislike broccoli--but-----I swear--you never taste it in the drink)----a peeled orange cut in 2 ----cucumber--- Cucumber really adds flavour to the drink!
I buy sugar-free juices ready to add to the smoothie---

And-----the very best part---- this machine is so so easy to clean----There are only 3 parts to this machine--They rinse well under a tap----air it to dry---
This drink is a refreshing break to coffee or tea!

I feel like I live in Siberia to-day. -It was minus 32 C here last night--but----(there is that big "butt" again!)-we do have sun----
Yesterday, while shovelling, I tried to get more Vit D--starred at that ol' sun---
Ya gotta love sunshine!

Life goes on----Valentines Day to-morrow--- Himself pulled out his card which he gives me every yr--- (I just put it away and take it out every year--hand it to him, and he resigns it!)-
Lord love a Duck--What old people do!

I love my Ninja too, but I fell out of love with the lack of chewing, so it has been "resting" on the shelf for a while. The revolving valentine day card is brilliant! Happy Heart Day to you, Himself and the Germans (shepherds that is)! emoticon

Thanks for sharing. Love the Valentine's Day card regifting idea. Hubby and I are going on our 38 year together. Maybe time to start a new tradition.
We have a Ninja also, and love it. It does make good smoothies. I use a Nutribullet at work though. Smaller and easier to store in the office.

I really enjoy my Ninja, too. Only mine is the the Ninja cooking system ~ it works as a stove top, a slow cooker, & an oven. I used it this morning for our breakfast & now am cooking off 2# ground beef to freeze in half pound packages. The Ninja was a gift from our youngest & her husband and, quite frankly, I don't know how I did without it before I was introduced to it. It can be used out-of-doors in the summer months; thus, allowing the kitchen to not heat up. And the clean up is so easy!

I did not know that they had a Ninja blender, so I shall be looking into the possibility of getting one; although my blender is going strong still after thirty-five years of use. I just might stick with "old faithful". emoticon

I like the idea of reusing the same Valentine card - making it special with a new message each year. I believe that I shall suggest that to my beloved MrV after tomorrow.

Our weather is right nice - sunny & bright with a temp hitting the fifty-degree mark. Not as warm as yesterday; however, still quite pleasant. This morning while looking out the kitchen window, my cherished MrV cheerfully remarked that the recent snow fall has pretty much melted away. God bless him, he is always looking for any sign that Spring may be just around the corner! emoticon I believe we have more snowfall to look forward to before Springtime comes our way. Still, it is nice to see that snow gone for now!

God bless your Saturday, sweet SP Friend, Lynda!

Love the card idea. My sister and I decided to rotate a BD card back and forth but I think it was probably me that lost it in one of our desks somewhere. I guess I should just go out and purchase another really great one to use!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA That is too cute -- re-signing the card for V-Day. I do that with my birthday card. Quite the collection of signatures on it now! Eventually will have to get another one! LOL

Thinking about a NInja. You may have persuaded me!

HUGS and Happy Valentine's Day to you and your Himself. Stay warm.

Thank you for mentioning vitamin D - reminded me to take my daily vitamins, which are harder for me to remember on weekends!
I think I learned the banana trick from you (freezing) - but I put them in my hot oatmeal to cool it down and sweeten it. So glad spark friends share what they do so we can pick up tips that are useful to our own experiments of one!
    Happy Holiday of Love!

You two remind me of the old anecdote about the fella who says to his blushing bride on their wedding day: "I love you. If that ever changes, I'll let you know."

Happy Valentine's Day to the two of you! Love the photo at the bottom! emoticon
