MUV it and LOSE it Challenge - Our 90 Day Gym Challenge

So...January 25th I started the MUV Fitness - Muv It & Lost It Challenge. It was only $100 and honestly, I figured for such a good price, what did I have to lose? Hopefully weight! That's what!

Started in with 185.5, 40% body fat and Lean Body Mass at 111.3. Last night after 2 weeks of dieting and working out, I weighed in at 183lbs 38% body fat and can't even remember the LBM. Normally this would frustrate the hell out of me, but I also remembered I had not one, but TWO parties this past weekend. And even though I attempted to stay on track and eat very little of the 'goodies' I still had them. On top of that I know I didn't get nearly the amount of water I've been consuming these past few weeks. So, yeah, yesterday was probably the worse day I could have weighed in. But the best part is, its going down!

This challenge has a great idea plan. Weigh-ins every two weeks. Personal Training sessions to make sure you are learning circuit training and how to properly use any of the equipment. Heck, if it wasn't for this challenge, I probably never would have attempted the battle ropes or TRX straps. I can physically see a difference in my body, which is also a motivator to not get down over last nights 3lb loss. To be honest, I was hoping for 6 or 7. But eh....

The staff has been very helpful and encouraging helping all who entered into the contest. However... and yes, I hate to say there is a however. They don't have any sense of organization! The first night, the kick off, it took almost 2 hours to weigh everyone in and take pictures. It was chaos. Nobody knew where to go or what they should be doing until about 45 minutes into being there. Then last night, they original paper they gave us simply stated it would be a weigh in night with a seminar. I, as did many other, expected a seminar on likely healthy choices or exercising. Several of us showed up in relaxed clothing (yoga pants and t-shirts). Not workout clothes. And wouldn't you know it, they had a FULL ON workout planned for all of us. WHAT?? Oh no! Thank GOD I brought a water bottle and didn't show up in heels or something silly. I did the all the circuit training, but had to bail for the cardio room stuff. I already worked out for 2 hours that morning. I ran fevers during the afternoon and wasn't feeling up to snuff. Plus - I had no hair tie. Y'all know how important a hair tie is to working out right? Yup - I bailed. Slightly annoyed they didn't even send an e-mail or anything saying we would be there to do a workout.

Ok griping is over. That was yesterday. Onward and Upward. 76 more days to go!

Next weigh-in I'll show up with my gym bag in hand!
