I restarted my journey here for like the third time on on January 4th. I had been sedentary for the last couple of year, and was feeling so tired, bloated, a little depressed, unhealthy.....you name it. So I started slowly with my exercise, doing cardio 6 days a week, weights (light ones) every other day. And of course logging my food.
I thought I had overdone it with the exercise this past Friday. I felt so worn out, partly because I had started to increase the weights and was really challenging myself. I had also increased my cardio from 10 minutes when I started the first of January to 30 minutes (stationery bike mainly).
Well, yesterday I once again did the bike for 30minutes(it felt much easier). I also did lighter weights with more reps. I was completely surprised with the weights, especially the reverse flys which I had struggled with, with very little weight. To sum up, I felt much stronger.
Which brings me to today. I had 2+ feet of snow in my driveway. I have a small electric snowblower. I ended up spending a couple of hours (with rest periods) clearing snow from my driveway. I used my arms mostly (cause my back isn't in great shape yet). I did not get tired! I felt so good about being able to do something a bit strenuous without feeling totally exhausted.
I consider this a month's worth of progress. I am hyped. I am ready to keep it going, and to continue to do things sensibly, with both food and exercise. I feel accomplished!
