Those of us who are parents, particularly moms, (though definitely not solely) tend to put ourselves last. Sometimes we don't even realize how far back on the burner we've landed and often we just set up camp. I did. For 4 years I had myself last. The thing is, we are just as much of a priority as our kids. We need to make sure we make ourselves a top priority, right there with our children, our spouses, etc. This includes putting time aside to workout. If I have to, my daughter will go in her room for an hour with a gate up. She has everything she needs, but it's important that I do this. Same with food. Yes, my daughter needs her fruits and veggies, and she gets them, lots of them, and daily. I need them just as much. So I make sure that happens. The point? You are important, make it happen!
