and I'm still hanging out on spark! yay!
i have a new computer, so no excuses for not blogging now. i really need to be accountable. i have more than 20 pounds i want to lose this year and i have a lot of personal goals that i want to meet or exceed this year too.
first off, i have regained 20 pounds of the 42 that i lost. mourning the loss of my Dad over 3 years ago. that started the fall. i finished it. can't blame everything on a dead person right? Dad would be pretty disappointed in me. i didn't stop, i just quit trying. huge difference. i put no heart in to the things i was doing.
ya, i was running, i was "fitnessing", i was existing. trying to maintain, but when you have a sonic blast in one hand and a spicy chick-fil-a in the other, the scale doesn't have much choice does it?

in addition to the fun stuff, i also had several funerals this year. lost some pretty wonderful friends and family members. seems like my circle is ever shrinking. have you ever met a person who didn't want to get married and have a family? i have. and now, they are so lonely. it breaks my heart to see people like that who have no one because of decisions made early on in life.
sometimes the simplest decisions have the most profound effect on our lives. we all have choices to make. lets make the best and healthiest choices that we possibly can. not based on the short term, but on the longterm.
what you do today could effect your life tomorrow in more ways that you could ever imagine. like that ripple in the water. when you throw that stone, what you see are the pretty ripples. what you don't see are the fish that were going to grab a bug that got chased off by the ripple. or even deeper, the cute little sea creature that got hit by that tossed stone.
what are you hitting and missing?
