Three Month Mark

I never thought I would make going to the gym such a strong habit. I've been going steadily for about three months and in that time I've added to my exercise repertoire and increased the amount of weight I lift. I like the elliptical far more than I thought possible!

What I love about going to the gym is that it makes me feel strong. I love feeling my muscles work in a controlled environment. I enjoy sweating on the elliptical, and I like that I can dial it back if need be.

Before Christmas I was down not quite 10 pounds since I began keeping track. I still feel like it's not very much, but I know that losing at a slower pace means it's more likely to stay off. I'm back up a few pounds but it was Christmas, and who knows - it could just be hormonal, or within my normal weight cycle. I'm really trying to not let it bother me too much.

I'm looking forward to going skating (now that Winter weather has finally hit) and snowshoeing. I'm going to continue going to the gym; my plan now is to add some good core exercises to my routine. In time I may change up the leg exercises I do too. I look forward to seeing my body change over the coming year.
