Digestive Issues

Friday, December 18, 2015

My doc started me on Levemir insulin and it is whooping my butt. I was horribly ill the first two weeks getting adjusted to it. And now nothing tastes good; almost like nothing has a taste. And unless it is lettuce, cucumbers, potatoes, raw broccoli, cauliflower, fried okra, or sausage patties - my body won't keep it down. The doctor says give it more time. But, I'm starting to think my pen is bad or my body is just not agreeing with this treatment.

The walking has slowed down for both me and the BF. He has been sick with flu-like symptoms for two weeks and still having to teach school. Tomorrow is a half day for him and then we get to relax for 2.5 weeks. Well, that is if you consider driving 1000 miles west for family time, relaxing.

Better luck emoticon at the beginning of the year.
Merry Christmas Holidays to everyone.

I hope you both feel better soon. It's good that you're getting your condition under control.

1000 miles sounds insane...I can't even compute that in my head, BUT after it sounds like 2 weeks of rest will be a welcome thing!

Sorry y'all are both sick, and I hope the pen stops giving you such side affects. It can take quite a while to adjust to new medicines. I hope it figures itself out soon.

    Have a good holiday break!
