Kickboxing my way to a better body

Hey Sparklers! Yet again, I sneak in through the backdoor of Spark to update you on the madness I call my life, and then I slip away like a thief in the night. Now that this mommy thing has become second nature again, I hope to stay a while. My son, Desmond (Dez) has Bronchial Pulmonary Disease and so there are a lot of doctor's appointments and plenty of restriction to prevent him from getting sick, but overall, life is AMAZING with him in it. I mean, how can you not fall in love with this face???
He is pretty much the best, ever. Now that he is stable and we understand how to manage his health, it is time for me to reclaim mine, and I have been doing just that. In October I was invited to join a Nutrition and Weight Loss Support Group. We met every Wednesday for 6 weeks to weigh-in, discuss our struggles, and share information. At the end of the 6 weeks, money was given to the person that lost the most weight and the most inches. Guess who won??? YOUR GIRL DID!!
I didn't lose much, only 5 lbs in 6 weeks but I loss a good amount of inches. I did take a little sabbatical during the Thanksgiving holiday, but I jumped right back into the fire by joining a Kickboxing Gym. It is so hard! But after just four classes, I began seeing changes in my body. I also go to Mixxed Fit twice a week. I can already see a difference in my face, the tone of my arms and my tummy is a little less fluffy. Here is a picture I took yesterday with Desmond and I:
The Kickboxing gym requires you to sign a year contract and at $125 a month, you can say that I AM COMMITTED! I am looking forward to feeling like an athlete again. And a new Weight Loss Challenge just begun yesterday, this one 8 weeks and I am down for winning again!
