December Goal

Wednesday, December 02, 2015

Thanksgiving day was a stressful day.... My work week before that was long and exhausting and staff blew up my phone all day!! This led to the worst fight hubby and I have ever had. When all was said and done though my eating was successful and I got to spend at least part of the day with 4 outta 5 of my children (and their partners) as well as my grand babies!!

I have been sick the whole entire month of November; it's been horrid!!! However, it has been a motivator. My goal for December is to lose 10 lbs. Anything more is a blessing, but this is reasonable and will allow me to indulge a little with out pressure or guilt. Without the extra pressure I place on myself I hope to be more successful.

That brings me to some other changes that I have been thinking about: JOB; it has become a hostile work environment and is no longer in MY best interest to stay at this company under these conditions. One of our homes is closing on Dec 10 and this will GREATLY reduce MY stress. I will play it by ear from there. Otherwise after the first of the year I will be seeking other employment.

HOME; we rent, husband and I are discussing other options. We are looking into buying or possibly moving closer to his job if I give up mine. Currently I drive 45 minutes north for work and he drives 60 minutes south. This is too much stress for both of us.

ME; I MUST make myself and my health a priority. I MUST learn to say NO to people and things that are not a required part of my life. My children are all "adults", our baby will be 18 on Jan 6. They lead their own lives, they need to learn that Mom can no longer drop everything for them.... ok well not every time LOL

WEIGHT; enough is enough. Period. I MUST get this under control. It's literally killing me.

I know all these changes will not occur on Jan 1st, 2016. I will always be a work in progress. I just need to start working on the RIGHT things!! Prioritize in 2016!!!!

On an up note... Today is my day off and I am about to go pick up my grandson so we can get our hair cut =)
