Day 30 - Beck- Stay in Control When Eating Out

How appropriate. I went out with my tennis buddies after tennis tonite. I planned to eat 10 chips and a minimal amount of guacamole. I only ate 10 tortilla chips. I waited a few minutes between each one. I tried to think of it as a game. Worked for me this time. I really thought about it before I went and I think it helped. I told myself, you can eat a little guacamole and salsa but none of the queso (we were at Chili's) I also allowed myself a diet Coke but no wine tonite. Maybe sometime in the future. :) I don't always have some anyway. I gave myself credit for sticking to my plan even though there were chips left, I didn't eat any of them. Yeah! I'm thinking of this as a step to changing my mindset about eating out. It wasn't really all that difficult. Asked myself what was most important again. I know the answer well by now :) I think planning is the number one thing for me and repeating to myself what I will do when I'm in the situation. I will try to make a card about this. So, not making it to bed by 11;30 but will be close? Have a Terrific Tuesday! and stay sparked!
