"Don't Worry! Be Happy!"
OK, now that THAT tune is playing in your head, let's talk about being happy, seriously. :)
36 days ago today I began a "21-Day rewiring your brain to be more happy" project on facebook. I was very skeptical about it too! First - as we ALL know - I am horrible at consistency! So, the idea of me doing ANYTHING for 21 days in a row was ludicrous, really! Second, due to lifelong depression issues I did not believe something this simple would work for me! Simple - yes! All you had to do, according to the challenge, was recall 3 things each day that you are grateful for every day for 21 days. At the end of 21 days you WILL be happier!
The simple fact that I am now on DAY 36, WITH NO PLAN TO STOP, tells you that it really did work!!! And it's still working!!!
So this little experiment has proven a few things to me:
1. I am capable of consistency!
2. I can be happier! I AM!!!
3. Going further is totally possible!
Any of you that have ever read my blogs here, or are in any groups that I'm in or have been in, for any length of time have probably figured out that RESTART all sorts of things OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
I NEVER DO GIVE UP!!!
But something has changed within me in these last few weeks - not going to try to pin it down just now. But I am going to move forward with it!
I will be doing another post shortly about that.
For now - - - Don't Worry! Be Happy!

I began with just 3 things... and you can too... but I'm doing 7 now, near the end of each day.
Today I am grateful for:
1. An extra hour of sleep
2. A new month
3. Good times with Good Friends
4. Encouraging older ones
5. Family staying safe in flooded tornado zones
7. Keeping THIS going so long!
