National Coffee Day

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

To me there is no better way to start your day than with a nice cup of coffee and God's Word. I love curling up my big, comfy "cherry chair" and having my quiet time in the morning and having my warm goodness just makes this time even sweeter.

I've loved coffee since I can remember. My parents divorced when I was eleven and my mom never let me drink coffee but when I would go and visit my dad he would always let me. I remember him putting so much creamer and sugar in it that the coffee was actually the shade of vanilla. I asked him not long ago if he still drinks his coffee that way. He does...and I wonder why I struggle with a sugar addiction. Thanks Dad! ;)

Since I am trying to cut down on my sugar intake I no longer put any kind of sweeter in my coffee but I do still put flavored creamer. Right now I am sipping on French Vanilla but I also bought some sugar-free pumpkin spice since the fall weather is heading our way.

My goal is to wean myself off of the creamer and just drink it black. I had done that for awhile but found out it was only certain kinds of coffee I can do that with and right now we are too poor for the good kind of coffee so I'm sticking with my flavored creamer and cheap coffee for now. ;)

Is anyone else a coffee lover like myself? How are you celebrating National Coffee Day?

    Hi there new team member!

I started drinking coffee on a regular basis about 5 years ago. I started drinking it because I was often looking for something hot to drink at work, but, without a bunch of calories. Coffee became that go to hot drink. I can't say I love it, but, I have grown to like it. Mainly I drink it at work and sometimes at a restaurant, depending on the temperature inside the restaurant. I rarely drink it at home.

Your cup is pretty and it looks inviting too. Drinking it while reading the Word of God is perfect! Enjoy!
