TO CONTEMPLATE YOUR NAVEL?

Hello All,

Being that I just turned 60 years old the other day, what I'm about to say may be lost on a couple of younger generations.

Back in the 1960's & 70's, when hippies were prevalent and TV's "Laugh-In" was Goldie (Kate Hudson's Mom) Hawn's first acting experience, people actually studied the Art of Meditation. I am bringing this up as I am going to a Meditation Group this evening.

In the meditation hey days everyone really did contemplate their navels or belly buttons! I hope I can get through the night without cracking up due to the comically ingrained visual of yesteryear's navel therapy.

While I make light of meditation, it really is an excellent way to get your mind, body and spirit focused. If now at the beginning of my body transition journey I don't need this refresher course -- then I don't know when it would be a better time. Meditation has physical and mental health benefits, so if you are ever given an opportunity to "Contemplate Your Navel", I strongly suggest you check for lint first and then give it a try.
