Let's Celebrate, It's Tuesday!

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

Today I feel like celebrating life, I have to admit it I feel darned good! I have been away without children, had a technology break, caught up with a whole host of good friends and have finally bitten the bullet and gone clothes shopping (I know I'm a woman, but really I don't do shopping).
Today is about celebrating the people who love and support me, those who have seen me laugh and cry. Also I'm going to celebrate the qualities that make me, me. What qualities do I bring to the world? So let's give myself credit for trying - whether I succeed or not. I am here to lose weight, get fitter and lead a healthier lifestyle.
1.I am writing letters (I know old school) to my friends and family, to let each and everyone know just how much I cherish them. I want them to know their special qualities and thank them for their help and support. They are all fantastic.
2.Get back into my exercise routine, which has been spotty to say the least whilst I have been away.... Although I did do 15K of shopping! Does that count?
3.Carry on journaling- focus on my qualities and give myself credit. Throw out the clothes that now fall off me (I have dropped 4 clothes sizes since May)...... I thought of a ritual burning but I will give them to charity, they can raise some money for Cancer Research and the local hospice. I want to celebrate letting go of the old, so I may burn a couple of old let's say unflattering photographs instead.

I returned home on Sunday, but I spent yesterday batch cooking. On the menu this week: Ham hock soup, Ham hock and parsley terrine, roast beef, Lamb curry and stew, liver and onions (I love offal), Ox tongue, oxtail soup and a whole host of vegetable dishes. I also made coconut yogurt (really yummy) so I will be making more later in the week.

This week I'm onto preserving: jams, chutneys, tinctures, syrups, fruit liqueurs for Christmas and vitamin jelly babies (gummy bears) for the boys..... Cold and flu season is coming, time to get prepared.
I started my Ruby course and got my first assignment in, so that was good - The first is always the scariest.
I have a small business idea forming in my brain, so I really want to work on forming that too.

I hope that you all celebrate the qualities that make YOU special, because you truly are unique.... Let your light shine..... May your Tuesday be the tops!
