Day 2,065: I'm not normally one to photograph my food....

I'm not one to normally photograph my food... but... I have been experimenting with different sized crockery recently as I do believe that reducing the size of your plates does fool your brain into thinking you are eating more.

Today I prepared wholewheat pasta with a home made bolognese sauce and a Caesar salad. As I served it up, something struck me. The pasta was now in a side salad sized bowl and the Caesar salad was in a main meal sized bowl the size of my pasta portions of old!



Just in case anyone is interested, the whole meal contained: Calories 427, Carbs 45, Fat 10, Protein 32, Fibre 8. And it was delicious!

I would recommend trying out different sized crockery - you don't have to buy a whole new dinner service - I bought single plates and bowls from Amazon that have been absolutely perfect to help me get used to healthy portion sizes.
