I love to write, I'm not an aspiring author but I have been keeping diaries and journals since being a teenager. As I have grown older an awful lot of my journaling has migrated to the computer, just because of time and space constraints. I was thinking last night whilst lying in my bath, that everything written in Word is so perfect; no scribbling out, spelling mistakes, doodling etc. The foibles that make my journals unique.
1.Sit down and just write, fill three pages with handwriting. It's going to spontaneous, so I'm not going to worry about grammar, syntax etc. It will be interesting to see what's going on in my subconscious.
2.I have wanted to go wild with glue, buttons, pictures for a while now. Time to make a new journal, I will get the boys involved at the weekend and see what we come up with.
3.The plan: Food, exercise, bucket list and household journals can stay on my PC; but gratitude, happiness and day to day journals are once again going to be handwritten.
I have been writing this blog for the past few days, life just gets so busy sometimes. My son had to go to the Orthoptist and had the eye drops, we spent the day describing how different the world look when everything looks squishy and squashed. He was so good, he was amazing.
Yesterday was interrupted by a phone call from my doctor, if I hadn't known it was him I would have thought that I was being wound up. My bloods were abnormal, I have noticed this week my speed and endurance were down and I haven't felt right; not ill, but just a bit weird. Anyhow it turns out I have the flu, the steroids are masking the whole illness. He rang to make sure I knew I had the flu, and see him immediately if I get any signs of a chest infection. The thing is I feel like exercising, I suppose rest and plenty of fluids are the way forward.
Today is batch cooking day, I have to say this has been a revelation. To be totally honest, I didn't think it would work out so well; however I have had a fantastic week food wise. I have had lots of choice, I have just looked at my food calendar for the day, defrosted and eaten. I have increased the number of fruits and vegetables in my diet, I'm far more engaged with my food choices. It's funny that I'm on the most restricted food plan ever and I feel I have more choice. So the dietary changes are positive, I am on my 10th day now and I'm doing well.
I hope that you all have a super Saturday!
