Cheating Myself

For the past few months, I've been seeing gains on the scale instead of losses. I'm up 10 pounds from where I was last summer. I've chosen to over indulge in foods that I know aren't good for me. Breads and chips are a weakness of mine. Simple truth: I can track, exercise, weigh and measure my food, but if I'm not strict with my bread/chips/sweets intake, I WILL NOT lose any weight. I will gain. I know this about my body. I know what to eat and do to maintain/lose weight. I just have to re-develop the willingness to do it. Since joining SP, I have shed 65 pounds.

As I approach my 3rd year anniversary, I've reclaimed 10 pounds. emoticon

My current goal will be to maintain my current weight and work on getting rid of the 10 pounds I've reclaimed. emoticon emoticon

    emoticon We all slip up at times but you have come a long way and I know you will persevere even more. I'm cheering with you. I have some to lose myself and I know why they are back. But I'm still proud of where I've come from. We ARE winners NOW!

    I have gained ten # also and i cant lose it for nothing! im just stuck! I learned my lesson on over eating and cheating my self! Im working hard to get better control! I love, chips and Bread also! I have to stay away from chips totally.. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You lost 65 pounds, so you know you can do this. Hopefully, this challenge will bring back the drive you had while shedding those pounds.

    You've worked so hard to get to your goal! Regroup & refocus. You know your weaknesses so work on them & eat healthy/exercise.

    You can drop those 10 pounds! Keep on....

    I ditto what SHORTSTORY2 said (although my weaknesses are all the above)! I was on a no-dessert streak for 8 days ... then we went on a trip, and when I walked into a candy-making shop, I said, "My streak is over!" I ate desserts in German restaurants for two days, but am now paying the piper. My husband helped me get back on track by NOT buying the chips, etc. that I love when he bought groceries for me. I am finding it so much easier with their NOT being available for me!

    Try giving up the bread and chips for a week. My demon food is chocolate which I actually gave up for a month last year. It wasn't easy and I craved it badly, but giving it up stopped the cravings! Get some healthy eats on hand and don't bring the chips in the house. It's so easy for the weight to creep back on. Been there myself just a while ago. Hope you can get back on track. It's a life style change. The way you choose to eat has to be what you stick with forever or the weight will come back. Wishing you the very best!
