First day back at the gym after months

A while ago, I got an injury that caused excruciating pain for months but today, I wanted to go to the gym. Actually, I wanted to go for a while but didn't bring myself to it until tonight. Plus, today was finally the day I felt well enough.
Returning to the gym is intimidating. 👀The anticipation is the worst. Beyond that, it was fine. It was a bit crowded but instead of leaving, I just focus on details like that woman has blonde, curly hair. That guys shoes are black and green and they are Nikes. It seems silly but it helps a little if you get anxious. At first, I thought it was the stupidest calming method I have ever heard of but who knew it would help one day! Music is also a must for me to drown out all the noise like the clinking of the weights.
The workout was good. Taking it slow if course. I also get nervous that I'll be the fattest person there. That wasn't the case but who cares? I'm not competing to get the thinnest. Exercise is something that is crucial to physical and mental health. That's why people are there. 😀
It felt so good to workout and if you are feeling apprehensive, I hope you will go. You won't regret it. 💪
