Some answers to questions from readers (I can't believe I have readers!) on my Nutrisystem Day 1-4 Blogs
I HAZ READERS!
I have always wanted to be a writer. Once upon a time I even described myself as a writer and poet. But life intervened and I am not one of those indomitable spirits who MUST WRITE. When I express myself in a blog or social media, I'm not really expecting anyone to read it, much less comment. It's like shouting down a well to hear the echo and hearing "Oi! We're trying to sleep down here!" rumble back from the depths.
Thank you all for reading my blog. It makes me long to be a more interesting and disciplined person.
And now to reader responses! Although I posted these answers in the comments of the appropriate blog, I don't know if the questioners get notified, especially since one cannot respond directly to a particular comment.
Day 1 – MRSCLARK “Let us know what you think of the food”
~ It’s not much worse than most pre-packaged foods. A bit under seasoned to my taste, but that’s what Mrs. Dash is for. Some things are a bit on the sweet side, for instance I preferred garlicy tomato sauce on my pizza. Some things were surprising yummy, for instance the tuna salad and the honey-wheat bagel.
Day 1 - LOVINGHIM555 “Walmart … all they sell is the Fast Five kit … double chocolate muffins and chocolate peanut butter lunch bars … Are those allowed on the D plan?”
~ My Walmart has the Homestyle Favorites Limited Time pack, the 5-Day Jumpstart, and the Nutrisystem D 5 day pack. I’ve purchased 2 of the Diabetes packs and 1 of the Homestyle Favorites packs so far. Chocolate peanut butter lunch bars are included in my Diabetes packs.
Day 3 - LOVINGHIM555 "How come you're not eating Power Fuels …so you don't ‘swoon’ before lunch.”
I don’t know what the Power Fuels are as they are not mentioned in the pamphlets that come with the boxes. I cannot seem to navigate the website to get additional info, even with help from chat. I haven’t had any ‘swooning’ issues between meals.
Day 3 - STILLFLYIN "... if you can stick with it ..."
~ I'm not looking at this program as a long term thing. I needed something to kickstart my A!@ into gear, get me accustomed to scheduled eating and smaller portions again, and just get me back on track in general. At some point everyone has to exist in the real world. Living on "mystery meals" for life just isn't practical. As a quick way to lose those pesky 5 or 10 pounds before an important event, as a jumpstart to get you over the hump ~ I think I can stick to it.
Day 4 - STILLFLYING – “If you want something sweet …”
~ What a great idea! Sometimes I just don’t want to eat a raw apple, because the inside of my mouth can be tender. This is a super work-around.
Day 4 - LOVINGHIM555 - "...taken a bag of NS popcorn ..."
~ I haven't found any popcorn in my boxes yet but I do have cheese puffs that might be an alternative.
