I needed big water, wind and waves. DH needed some rest from his many worries. We both didn't need crowds and noise. We also didn't want to be too far away from home. So we went to a small state park at the shore of Lake Erie. Just slightly more than two hours drive from Pittsburgh area.

Big water and waves were right there!

So were cloudy skies, wind and stormy weather.

We pitched our tent and set up our camp kitchen/dining room.

After windy and rainy night we rode our bikes to the beach and to the little village called Geneva-On-The-Lake.

Next day we went to another state park, almost at the suburbs of Cleveland. Just for a short swim in warm waves of the lake and for a long walk along low dunes.

I didn't make lots of pictures there because my camera battery was dying :)

We didn't have a good map of Ohio so we got lost, but just a little bit. Enough to see some cute small towns there on our way back. Than we hit the 76 and were back home in no time at all.

Just two days and not a lot of money spent for it and we had our little summer retreat :)
Now I say bye everyone and go to call DH as there was a very good news for him and he didn't get it because he went to work.
