We're leaving for our two-week vacation tomorrow. Driving from Oregon thru Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Washington, and back to Oregon. We plan to see Yellowstone, visit Sturgis SD for the big motorcycle rally, catch Mt. Rushmore, and do whatever else takes our fancy along the way. We're camping in our van and pulling the motorcycle in a trailer. We don't have any specific plans other than the ones I mentioned. The rest is going to be sightseeing and side-trips on the motorcycle.
I don't know if I can handle two whole weeks away from SparkPeople. I'm going to try really hard not to overeat. I'll keep a food journal and keep track of all my exercise (walking and strength training). I'm bringing my Spark Activity Tracker, but I don't know if it will store the information for an entire two weeks. I guess I'm about to find out.
Since we're fixing most of our own food, I'm hoping not to gain any weight. It comes off way too slowly and returns all too rapidly, so I'm definitely going to be careful, with a couple of days off when we eat dinner out. Even then, I don't plan on going crazy. I'll try to select something healthy but still enjoyable.
Other than that, I'm insanely excited about this trip. My husband is so adorable he even makes being at home fun, so I know we're going to have a great time when fun is our main focus (and taking pictures). DH will be retiring in January, so this is what he calls a "practice run," since we have lots of trips planned for the next few years. We're counting the days. (181)
