As planned, after I had to fast for a medical procedure, I got back on the healthy food bandwagon. So far so good.
I feel so energized. After a morning meal of cheerios, blueberries, and milk, I have a salad of fresh baby spinach, salmon, and a hard boiled egg for lunch. I find that using 2% milk on the cereal makes it more satisfying than the skim I have been using for years. Now that I am not eating refined sugar and not very much processed food, I have more energy and my mood is enhanced. My evening meal varies, but even if we have processed food for supper, the natural fasting of a good night's sleep lets me stay with healthy eating the next day.
So this is making lemonade from lemons. Using the medically required purge to get past the cravings that otherwise would destroy my good intentions.
