My schedule seems to change abruptly lately. I did just find out my son's practice schedule for the next couple of nights so that is good. It is later so that will give us time to eat dinner. With the kids being home for summer it is definitely throwing in some loops!

I'm also trying to change up my eating a little. I'm putting less fruit in my protein shake so I can have some non liquid food also. I've been studying for my weight management specialist test and he commented that juice/liquid basically just goes right through you because your stomach muscles don't have to do any work to it. In other words, think of your stomach as a blender. I've already blended up those calories. It explains why I can be really full but an hour or two later I'm hungry again.

I also think I'm going to mix up my breakfast. I ate packaged oatmeal this morning and it didn't keep me full but when I made a baked oatmeal it kept me full. I'll let you know how it goes.

    I have discovered that protein is essential for me in the morning. It really helps keep me full! I very, very rarely snack between breakfast and lunch now.
