Life is challenging-but----w

Another day, another day to strive for perfection!

I always loved this cartoon--I wish Doctors were as honest as this!
As I type, I hear Himself coughing, in the kitchen, as he consumes his enormous breakfast--Poor fella is better--is back working mornings, but------not really feeling very peppy---It is a bad flu---I had it last fall----So, when you are out and about, avoid people who cough--they might have the same bug---

Fat cat , the hyperthyroid guy, was at the vet yesterday--His weight is good--up to 11.5 pounds--but (Isn't there always the big "Butt"?-LOL)----his thyroid level has climbed again--even on the meds--- disappointing ----so---his meds are increased and hopefully it will make a difference.
Beau the German puppy is learning the rules of living in a house---like---not to chew chair legs--not to dig holes in the dog pen---not to chew shoes----not to chew Tess (the other grown German)-not to jump on us--or the kitchen counter---
Lord Love A Duck--mind boggling how much he has to learn!
The day has begun--time to walk these Germans--Its cold here---which might eliminate the bugs---

I always like this!--LOL

I seem to remember that three sons also had to learn NO from two to three.

Dogs just need it sooner because they have sharp teeth.

I am glad your HIMSELF is getting better. emoticon

Love the cartoon! Glad himself is on the mend. Hope the med increase helps Fat cat. Never said "No" more than during those puppy years, lol. But it worked!

Happy to hear your DH is coming out of the flu. Glad that Beau is coming to his senses step by step. Life is full of challenges, isn't it?!

The problem with the last quote is that instead of 'shoes' I usually put food there emoticon

Glad Himself is on the mend.
Mr Beau is learning the rules of communal living with humans.
Hope it isn't TOO cool... just cool enough to discourage those blood thirsty bugs... and the ones that just like to buzz in your ears and fly in your face...
Weather man is warning of severe thunder storm potential over the next few hours. Hope the storms do no real damage.
    Hugs,

Beau will learn - eventually! But then, with your experience with his breed, you know that! I'd like to peek in & see his young self as he goes about his day. And, I'd really like to be able to know what he is thinking as he does his puppy thing! emoticon In some respect it must be such a bewilderment to just be doing what comes natural & then get told those frustrating words of "No! No!". God bless his little self!

It is mildly cool under our piece of the sky, too. At least at this point in our day - we have a high of 83-degrees promised for this day. I'd like to have some emoticon this afternoon or evening; however, we only have a 20% of that happening.

    God bless your day, Lynda!

I remember "puppy days" with some of my dogs over the years; I think the puppies were more challenging than babies! But bless them, once they get a little more mature they bring us such joy. (They bring joy as puppies too, but tinged with more stress.)

I have concerns for Himself. It seems to me that men tend to get macho about things not related to manliness, such as getting over an illness, and don't take care of themselves the way they should. Age seems to make it worse. I hope he recovers soon, for your sake as well as his.

It is a cooler day here in SW Ontario too but it's refreshing after last night's storm!

Are you sure Himself is better? I mean, he is still coughing??!!??
We haven't had any bad virus like that here this summer, touch wood (my head, lol).

Beau is going to be a lovely grown up dog, it takes time & patience and a lot of work to get through the "puppy stage!"

    Bought the shoes! LOLOLOLOL

Dad started with the dreaded cough on Sunday. No fever but felt punk, even though he wouldn't admit it! Men = stubborn, eh!

Glad to hear Himself is feeling better though. I have to laugh @ his mammoth breakfast. Yesterday this is what my dad had for breakfast:

    4 cups of cereal
2 cups of milk for the cereal
green and red grapes in the cereal
    2 strawberries in the cereal
1 large banana in the cereal

OMG! I'd explode if I ate all that!

Oh, plus 2 cups of decaf.

The important thing about Beau is that he *is* learning! Hope the bugs get ditched by the chilly temperatures! emoticon

    "Fat"igue indeed: love this!

I'm a big fan of the flu shot which helps me a bit -- even when I get flu it seems milder and shorter.

Life is short. Buy the damn shoes! Absolutely! I lived many years below the poverty line. Now I feel guilty for even considering the shoes, but once in a while you just have to! Doesn't hurt to drop a few dollars in the "charity well" either once in a while.
