Happy Father's Day to Dad!
Sunday, June 21, 2015
My Dad is on the left---This was my family--I don't have either of my parents anymore.
I listened to CBC radio this morning, and they were asking what advice your Dad gave you----I had to think---He insisted that we must have an education---"even tho we were girls", as he would say! (in those days girls weren't expected to go on to a post secondary education)-He stressed that, in case something happened to our husband, we must support ourselves. I remember him as being very fair--very caring, and very much in love with my Mom--a great role model!
Dad's sisters and brothers were mostly educated at the University of Toronto--They were dieticians (from University of Guelph)---Librarians--Lawyers-
---Teachers------which in Dad's days----was a bit unusual.
So, thank-yu Dad for always being there for me---I loved you to bits!
Now----the "homefront"---Lord love a Duck---it's been a bit "rocky" with himself being flu-y---Well, himself is still alive (very important, but I did tell him that he would survive this bug)---Beau the puppy is growing even tho Tess chews his ears, and I got the deck stained yesterday, before the rain--also went to a Birthday Party last night for our 10yr old Grand Daughter-
Here she is--
and here are some Grandchildren party go-ers--LOL
And this was taken by son#2 the Air Canada Pilot who is out in Halifax as I type---getting his hours in so he can visit us soon---
So "Sail away" to good health Sparkly People!-Keep moving-----smiling----and--you know what??--My WEIGHT Is DOWN!
