I met a sweet lady yesterday evening that really helped me put things into perspective. This lady's son has been a positive influence on my middle daughter and I was glad I was able to take him to see her. She is facing huge struggles and health issues, a lot of which is related to her weight. The timing of this activity was interesting for me, as I was already thinking about these things when I met her yesterday evening.
10 reasons I want to lose weight
1} To walk without my knee hurting or giving out
2} To get my adrenal/cortisol issues under control
3} To get my thyroid fluctuations regulated
4} To be able to walk up my stairs or up the hill on my road without being out of breath
5} So my heel spur can heal
6} To stop the upward trend that my weight has taken so I can live a long and healthy life!
7} To look and feel better!
8} To be active and do things with my kids, ages 12. 15. 17. 20, and 22.
9} To be enjoy travel with my husband
10} So I don't have to buy another new wardrobe!!!
What can I do in 8 weeks?
~ Walk 392 miles (7 miles per day)
~ Drink 3,584oz of water (448 glasses, 8 8oz glasses per day)
~ Complete 24 strength training session (3 per week)
~ Complete 16 yoga sessions (2 per week, though may not be able to when I'm out of town)
~ Read 16 books (2 per week, I have a box of things I've collected throughout the school year that I need to read!)
